Young Writer’s Camp is a place where emerging writers can practice and refine their writing skills, share with others, and grow as artisans and thinkers. Each day, they will investigate the art of writing, apply the craft to their own writing, and celebrate what they’ve done with fellow campers. One-week, per-session cost: 125.00; full-day cost: $225 Location: Southwest Conference Room - DB 1.124 (Durango Bldg. UTSA-Downtown) Session I--8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Session II--12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dates: June 20-24

Registration Deadline: June 3, 2011 Scholarship InformationIt is our privilege to offer an opportunity for deserving young writers to attend this summer’s Young Writer’s Camp sponsored by the San Antonio Writing Project. The camp tries to award scholarships to families for whom financial assistance is a necessity. Students from such families must display a strong interest in writing and a desire to attend this camp. Along with a completed camp application and a scholarship application, students must send a sample of writing to the address listed on the camp application. Scholarship recipients are notified by mail before the registration deadline. To be considered for scholarship, sample writing and scholarship /camp applications must be received by May 27th. | Scholarship application form |
